Backhousia citriodora 'Lemon Myrtle', this outstanding large shrub to small tree is known for its strong lemon scented foliage which is used and much sorted after all over the world. These are cutting grown from mature plants in our garden and are the selection with the highest and purest oil content. Used for culinary and medicinal purposes you can use the leaf fresh or dried, particularly tasty tea. More recipes and uses can be found on the web. It will reach up to 10 metres if left unpruned, but is easily kept to a medium bushy shrub with regular pruning. Hardy and frost and drought resistant was estabished.
